This is a sweet molded hair American Character Doll Doodles from 1958. She is marked on the back of her neck, "Amer Char Doll". This drink and wet baby is made of vinyl. She is jointed at the elbows, knees, arms, legs and neck.

Her pretty molded brown hair has some rubs which is common with these baby dolls over the years. She has pretty blue sleep eyes, dark full upper lashes, painted lower lashes and well defined brows. The whites of her eyes look to have a tinge of green but they are not bad and only noticeable if you look very close. Toodles has a hole in her pretty pink mouth for a bottle.

Her vinyl body is nice and clean. I did notice a dot on her arm and a brown mark on one foot. When I received this baby, some little child over the years had scribbled in pink all over her back. I believe I have successfully removed it because I do not see any traces. If there are any, they are very light.

Toodles wears a vintage pink and white dotted swiss dress with a matching cap and panties. The elastic is gone but they still stay up. Otherwise, there are no rips, tears or stains on her clothing. Her dress closes in the back with two snaps. Pretty pink and white lace sets this outfit apart.

Toodles is a delightful baby and no longer cries. She has pretty rosy cheeks that have been touched up as her little cheeks had rubs.

This American Character Molded Hair Toodles wears white oil cloth shoes and white orlon socks. The shoes show a little wear as they are pulling at the seam in back. The soles look fine.

She is a lovely vintage doll that is still highly collectible today. I think she is just darling! I love her sweet baby expression. I can just see the wonder and joy radiating from her pretty little face. I visualize the excitement some little girl felt upon receiving this baby doll - Toodles.
