This is a gorgeous Tiny Tears doll by American Character.  She is the smallest Tiny Tears American Character made at 11 and one half inces.  She was made from 1959-1961.  Her clear blue rock-a-bye eyes are shaded by her long, dark, full upper lashes.  She has the painted under lashes and the single one stroke well defined brows.  There are no rubs on her eyelids. She has her original soft rosy blush, pink lips with no chips or rubs.

  Tiny Tears has a creamy long lasting vinyl body with no marks, stains or chews.  Her golden blond hair is full with the original curl. The best of all is that she still cries when you press on her tummy. There is a tiny (pinpoint) light brown spot just under one eye.  It is not noticeable unless you look very closely. There are no missing lashes or hair plugs that I could find.

Tiny Tears wears an adorable new outfit.  The skirt has beautiful white ruffles with tiny  flowers edging the bottom of each ruffle.  She has a matching bonnet, white bloomers and white booties.  The outfit is absolutely gorgeous on this sweet baby doll.  You just don't see too many of these babies with hair this blonde!  What a beauty!

  Tiny Tears was a highly sought after collectable doll in the 1950's.  She was known as the doll that not only could drink and wet but also cried real tears.    Even today, Tiny brings back those sweet special memories we had as children.
