This is a vintage Ginny doll - Merry Moppets - made for one year from 1955-1956.  She was made by Vogue and is marked appropriately on her back with the patent numbers 2687594.  Ginny has pretty blue sleep eyes with dark molded lashes and has pretty brunette braids.  She will hold a pose.

Ginny wears her Merry Moppets Medford tagged dress.  It is a cotton dress with suspender design, dark brown vinyl belt.  Dress closes by hook and eye and is clean.  I believe it has never been laundered.  The colors are very bright and vivid.  Ginny has the brown checked panties (needs elastic replaced), brown socks and pink original Ginny shoes.  The Merry Moppets hat completes her outfit.  It is being held on her head by a pin as depicted in the pics.

Her shoes are original and marked "Ginny/Made in U.S.A".

Ginny is free of seam splits and  cracks.  She has all fingers and toes with no chews.  Her dark molded lashes are firm with no chips. This pretty little Ginny is a walker - move her legs back and forth and her head turns from side to side.
